Because of its dynamism and how easy it is for the tables to turn during a game, Texas Hold'em is perhaps the most-played style of poker in the world.

For both beginners and expert players, a quick game on the computer once in a while is always a good idea, which is why we're introducing PokerTH, an open-source game to bring the best of Texas Hold'em to your desktop.

PokerTH lets you play online against people from around the world or against the game's own AI. You can even set up games over a local connection, but you'll need to have more than one computer connected to the network to do so.

The rules are the same as in real poker: two cards per player, five face up, dealer, little blind, big blind ... although unfortunately for more experienced players, you can't play with real money. Still, for having fun and practicing a bit it's a fantastic option. Plus it includes several options to adjust the minimum bet, the buy-in amount, and the number of players at the table when the game begins.
